Launched Support Manual for Judges on matters of crimes against wildlife

Yesterday, in Maputo, was held the launch of the Support Manual for Judicial Magistrates on matters of crimes against wildlife. This is a tool that has already been used in training. More than 50 judges at a national level have already benefited from training on the subject.
Speaking at the event, the Minister of Justice, Constitutional and Religious Affairs, Helena Kida said it is "important to continue with the initiative because wildlife trafficking is associated with terrorist financing."
For the President of the Supreme Court, Adelino Muchanga "the Manual now launched should serve to raise the awareness of the magistrates, for a competent action in dealing with wildlife crime".
In the coming years, the initiative will cover more judges throughout the country, according to the Judge-Counselor of the Supreme Court, the Venerable António Paulo Namburete, coordinator of this activity.
USAID through the SPEED Project and partners such as WWF, UNODC and ANAC, USforest and the European Union supported the Supreme Court to elaborate this Manual which is the first practical instrument produced in the country about this legal type of crime.
