Young people challenged to protect biodiversity

“It was a moment of great learning. I intend to replicate these conversations with my colleagues because the responsibility to protect animals belongs to all of us”, reports student Cândido Manhiça from Instituto Superior Monitor.
46 young people, including 35 women, environmental activists (#Generation C), and university students from Instituto Superior Monitor recently benefited from a lecture on the ecological, economic, and social impact of poaching, and existing legal measures to combat this type of crime.
This awareness-raising initiative, supported by USAID SPEED, has so far reached more than 300 people including judges, judiciary trainees, members of civil society, and university students.
